Wellness Hydrotherapy is owned and operated by Amy Sanders, Certified Colon Therapist:
“My grandfather was diagnosed with colon cancer. I left the Shiatsu Massage College in Santa Monica, CA, in 1997 to help the family through his illness. That is how the importance of colon health became a professional calling for me.”
In August 1998, Amy received training at the Clearwater School of Colon Hydrotherapy in Clearwater, Florida. She went on to study Ayurvedic medicine in India, earning certification as a Panchakarma Practitioner in 2006.
From her Ayurvedic training, Amy adapted the purification method of “Basti” and “Vasti”, which are medicated enemas. Amy teaches these fused methods in India and around the world. She founded the Wellness Institute for Digestive Health to instruct colon therapists from around the world who wish to begin or enhance their education.
In 2009, Amy founded the Global Professional Association for Colon Therapy, a truly international association for therapists, raising the bar of professionalism by increasing educational standards. Read more at www.GPACT.ORG
